[qBlog-2.5.2] directory level confusion?

Posted by Martin Weigele at September 27. 2007

Hi, I've setup a Plone 2.5.3 Website with the following structure:

Home/Blog where Blog is of content type qBlog / SimpleBlog. Everything works fine and it is a great product. However when I set the Home view to point to article:Blog, things become confused:

- It is no longer possible to add blog entries;

- neither Blog nor any entries show up on the sitemap

unless I undo the Home view setting.

Am I missing some configuration setting required or is it a bug/"feature"?

Thanks for your help. Kind regards

Martin

Having very similar problem on Plone 2.5.5 running qblog2.5.2.

Contextual list of addable types doesn't correctly parse when the blog is the default view for the folder. Instead, I'm getting the regular list of addable types for the enclosing folder, not for the blog.  In fact, the only way to then add blog entries is to make some other content the default view, then add the entry and switch back.  Real bummer.

When not set as the default view, everything works fine.
